![]() Sorry that i cannot give you an exact error output from e.g ' curl … 64/core. I actually can wget the 'core.db', 'extra.db' and 'community.db' files from the mirrors manually, but curl doesn't seem to work. For example: you may want to specify separated timeout for connection and receiving data, which is supported by PHP cURL library. ![]() D: Use settimelimit() function before initializing the. C: Modify the php.ini file to change the default timeout setting for cURL. when the OS detect that more data is available to be fetched from the socket, the OS will inform curlmultiselect, and curlmultiselect will wake up. B: Set the CURLOPTTIMEOUT option with the number of seconds as its value. T.Todua yes curlmultiselect there is used to sleep until there is more work to be done. Giving a ' pacman -Syyv -debug', i saw that i got an 'curl error 28', which i think might be the key to the problem here. What is the correct way to set the timeout for a cURL request : Use CURLOPTTIMEOVERRIDE and set it to the desired number of seconds. A default value for -max-time doesn't seem to exist, making curl wait forever for a response. I even tried pinging the actual mirrors, so the mirrors are up. Here (on Debian) it stops trying to connect after 2 minutes, regardless of the time specified with -connect-timeout and although the default connect timeout value seems to be 5 minutes according to the DEFAULTCONNECTTIMEOUT macro in lib/connect.h. I got the same error message for every single server, but my connection is fine, as ping works fine. I downloaded a new mirrorlist from from here just to be sure and i uncommented just the servers for Greece (from where i am), some for Germany and USA and tried again. Searching the web, i found that this is usually a connection or mirrorlist problem. I tried ' pacman -Syy' and got the exact same error message. ![]() This of course happens for files 'extra.db' and 'community.db' also. Error: failed retrieving file 'core.db' from : Connection time-out after 10520 millisecondsįor every mirror while giving the pacstrap /mnt base command.
